Nepal MTB tour
Although Nepal is most famous as the home of the Earth's highest mountain, Mt. Everest, it's also home to some absolutely killer mountain biking. At Haku, we've rooted out the best spots — some of which are in the shadow of Everest, tucked in the Himalayas — and put them together in our epic, 11-day Nepal Mountain Bike Adventure. Nepal's diverse MTB offerings range from Enduro to DH to All-Mountain, and can be as technically challenging as any mountain biking in the world. We also have a Nepal mountain bike heli-drop extension you can add on to your trip. Expect high-altitude descents from cloud-covered mountain passes, rides through remote Buddhist villages, and fast-paced, jungle-covered singletrack; exactly the kind of mountain biking you'd expect from the country that has 8 of the world's 14 tallest peaks!
Nepal's capital city is Kathmandu, also known as the City of Temples. It's located in the bowl-shaped Kathmandu Valley in central Nepal. Nepal has played a pivotal role in the development of both Hinduism and Buddhism; in fact, it's home to Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, who was born in southern Nepal. With Haku Expeditions, you'll get to cycle past and explore local religious sites, spin prayer wheels, visit markets and more, both in Kathmandu and out on the MTB trails. You'll also be staying in a mixture of hotels and traditional tea houses, which are mountain lodges located along many of the trekking routes that wind through the Himalayas. As they say in Nepal — jam jam (let's go)!
